“Like Uber” is the operative phrase here. It suggests a logistics-enabled multi-modal transportation system supported by consumer apps, ride-sharing, and public transportation. Vancouver, B.C., the Puget Sound area,  and Portland’s transport networks will be linked by 2028.

Statistics show the degree of growth – and the relative increase in demand – of Metro Vancouver’s public transit system. Ridership rose 4.5% in 2016, and numbers through September this year shows a 6.2% increase. Currently, commuters make more than 150,000 journeys through the Commercial-Broadway station each day.
