Deliveroo has denied that its workers want to unionise, saying the food delivery riders prefer the flexibility of the gig economy over the benefits of being employed. The push back came on the first day of a tribunal that will determine if Deliveroo’s riders can be represented by the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB).
