The chatbot is an information gatherer and entertainer. Think of it as the performer who covers the stage changes during a vaudeville show. While they tap dance (e.g. chat engagingly with the customer, collecting requirements and information), the backend of a marketing platform needs to be ready to customize messages and offers based on the information collected by the chatbot.

Chatbots are the new, active “on hold” experience. Understand them.
