Kabra and co-founder John Dillon officially launched Boston-based VetX, their 24/7, on-demand telemedicine-for-pets service on July 22. The company has goals of reaching about 10,000 pet owners per month who will ask for medical advice from more than 100 veterinarians and owners of pet clinics and hospital chains nationwide.

“We see ourselves as a pioneer in this space,” Kabra, a recent Babson College graduate, said in an interview. “There’s this trend toward the on-demand economy and also toward telemedicine, and we’re at the nexus of this, but for pet care.”
